Randstad is currently working with a large public sector client to find a Level 2 Helpdesk/ IT Support Officer. This is for a short term contract (2 months) based in St Lucia, Brisbane.
Role Overview:
The IT Support Officer role involves providing level 2 technical support across Windows, macOS, Linux, and AV systems, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, and maintaining IT assets and service management, while supporting staff with a commitment to customer service excellence and teamwork. This role would be completing windows 10 to 11 hardware and/or software upgrades.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- Qualifications and training equivalent to an undergraduate degree in IT or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience providing support and deployment of the various PC operating system environments: Windows, macOS, or Linux, operational components and systems.
- Experience in dealing with people in a service capacity within an IT service management environment.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills particularly, in documenting processes and work instructions, and interpreting client requirements.
- Ideally 2+ years of level 2 desktop support experience in a large scale corporate environment.
Key Deliverables:- Deployment of computers and related hardware.
- Disposal and decommissioning of computer equipment.
- Resolution of related Level 2 desktop support issues.
- Adherence to documented operational procedures.
- Adopt and promote cyber security practices in compliance with the Cyber Security Policy and procedures.
